The Martin Luther King II project consists in financing the company PLA Srl for the purchase of land and the construction of a building of 3,000 square meters (SLP) in Potenza. The complex will house both commercial and residential units.
Martin Luther King II is a RE-URBAN project which consists in financing the company PLA Srl for the urbanization of a plot of land and the subsequent construction of a real estate complex of about 3,000 square meters (SLP) in Potenza .
The operation, which will take place over a period of 3 years, includes the following phases:
the purchase of the land (in the process of being formalized)
the construction of the complex, divided as follows:
- 1 basement with 32 garage and 18 cellars
- 1 ground floor with 2 commercial premises
- 6 floors housing a total of 24 apartments;
the sale of commercial and residential units.
These phases will be supported by 5 collection campaigns on RE-Lender.
The land on which the property will be built is located in the Macchia Romana residential area, where the entrepreneur Francesco Marella, headed by PLA Srl , has already built a complex in the delivery phase. The operation was the first in Italy to be financed also through lending crowdfunding, a tool that accompanied the entrepreneur up to the marketing of the units.
Located north of the city of Potenza and a few minutes drive from the center, the Macchia Romana district has undergone major urban and real estate redevelopments in recent years. The sector is almost saturated, while demand remains strong due to the proximity to important service facilities such as the University of Basilicata and the San Carlo Hospital.
In addition, the complex will be located near the Macchia Romana railway station, a strategic stopover for the city, and the Elisa Claps park, a green lung that stands on the former Macchia Romana wood and offers a trekking route, a lookout area, a picnic. with tables, barbecue and play area.
The entrepreneur, among the first in Italy to use crowdfunding, has carried out further successful campaigns including: Moena, Paestum, Logistic Center, Scalo Ionico, PLA prefabbricati and Rione Lucania.
The company PLA Srl is part of the Marella entrepreneurial group , led by Francesco Marella , a graduate in construction engineering, represents the third generation in the real estate and construction sector. During his career he also held the following roles: CEO and chairman of the board of directors of Nova RE SpA, a real estate company listed on the Milan stock exchange. Deputy Chairman of Meridie SpA, an investment company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange. Director of Ream SGR. Chief Executive Officer of the family business active in the construction of public infrastructures (motorways and railways).
In particular in the context of reconversions among the most important projects of the group:
- Construction of residential and office complexes in Potenza for a development of approximately 13,000 square meters (revenues of approximately Euro 25 million);
- Renovation and sale of a residential and office complex in Ferrara 11,000 sq m;
- Construction and sale of tourist complexes in Val di Fassa for 7,000 square meters.
- Urban redevelopment of the former Whirlpool complex in Comerio (VA)
